Being a teacher is one of the most fulfilling occupations you can find.
Phakamisa means “to uplift” and this project is one that tugs at the heartstrings. It started with a touching story of a teen, who despite numerous setbacks, still attended school, still studied hard and remained humble, courteous and polite – to the extend that even peers commented on it.
It is essential that every parent/guardian belong to both or at least one of the Port Alfred School WhatsApp Grade groups or the parents’ email database.
Children need to be empowered to be able to grow their own food, using natural techniques which not only ensure good crop yields using all Nature provides us with, but also to reconnect with nature in a meaningful way.
I want to appeal to the parents and the community at large to work with me to unite the school and truly ensure that we are your family school at the sea.
Saying goodbye is never easy.
World Teacher Day aims to give the world a better understanding of teachers and the role they play in the development of students and society.
